Palyani Irmangka-Irmangka Traditional Bush Medicine
Palyani’s Irmangka-Irmangka Traditional Bush Medicine is a natural treatment and all-over body moisturiser and balm traditionally used to help with muscular aches and strains, insect bites, sunburn, dry lips and other skin irritations.
Palyani makes the Bush Medicine in the way it has been taught through generations. Irmangka-Irmangka is harvested on Kokatha Country, where the leaves are processed and infused with beeswax and olive oil before being solidified and placed into jars. It represents traditional healing from the heart of the land, from their hands to yours.

Ingredients
Olive Oil
Olive oil is known for its moisturising properties and contains compounds associated with anti-inflammatory activity.
Beeswax
Beeswax has traditionally been valued for its skin-supporting properties, making it a natural key ingredient in Palyani’s Bush Medicine. Bees also hold a cultural connection for Palyani, playing an important role in pollination and the growth of trees and beautiful flowers.
Irmangka-Irmangka
Irmangka-Irmangka translates to “Bush Medicine” in the Kokatha/Yunkanyjatjara language. Commonly referred to as Emu Bush, it is an arid plant found throughout the Western and Central desert regions of South Australia and across Palyani’s homelands.
Irmangka-Irmangka has been used as a traditional healing medicine by ancestors for thousands of years and is valued for its traditional use in supporting the body, soothing the skin and nourishing dry areas.
How To Use
Palyani recommends rubbing the Bush Medicine into the affected area twice daily until symptoms ease.
The balm can be used during pregnancy; however, Palyani recommends consulting a healthcare professional before introducing any new product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Bush Medicine should not be applied to festering sores or open wounds, particularly in eczema-affected areas. Because the balm is oil-based, the skin should be relatively dry and not weeping before application.
